Django Unchained
Django Unchained was a great movie. I thought that Jamie Fox played his role perfectly. In every scene that Jamie Fox was in he made it either suspenseful or extremely funny. In the scene with the KKK the director made a very negative and serious topic a hilarious and comical shot. The director also made the awkwardness of the white vs black viewer a lot easier because he made fun of both races. For the most part this was a comedy but there were some serious scenes that were perfectly done. In the final scene where they were all in the house and there was a gun fight the Director made it extremely suspenseful. Leonardo DiCaprio played the role of a racist white man very well. There were a lot of topics in this movie that could have been very offensive and beyond rude but it was portrayed in a way that it was funny. Without portraying the themes in this movie in a funny way i don't think that this movie would have been allowed to be produced. There were many insults to the black race and a lot of talk about slavery. Quenten Tarantino is known for pushing the limits of what is allowed and what isn't and he definitely pushed the limits in this movie. He pushed the limits but in a way that made a terrible time for a lot of people a great movie. I liked this movie because of how funny that it was and how it did still have some historical accuracy in it. This movie was rated appropriately because there was a lot of bad language and scenes that were inappropriate. Some movies are rated because of the topic that they are about but this movie was rated because of the topic and because of the language.
